Culinary 86 was founded by Executive Chef Chris Donaldson, whose passion for cooking began in the restaurant kitchens of his hometown, Detroit, Michigan. Growing up as an athlete, Chris developed a deep understanding of how food impacts performance, recovery, and overall well-being. What started as a skill quickly evolved into a purpose — blending nutrition, creativity, and care into every dish.
Today, Chef Chris leads Culinary 86 Hospitality with the vision of “86ing limits” — removing barriers between people and their potential. His mission is simple: to make high-level nutrition and luxury hospitality accessible to those with demanding lifestyles, so every client can focus fully on their goals while enjoying food that aligns with their taste, performance, and purpose.
